Sid, Did you get my messages of yesterday ? I have checked but they seem to have dropped off the end of the link for some reason. I do have some archive stuff to put on site but I don't seem to be able to get the browser up for my files Ray

hey fisherman youve just answered a question ive been asking myself for the last two years. just been looking at your pics of butterflys. and your pic of the marbled white is the butterfly that has been using my blackcurrant bush for the last two years. this year around ten of these have reached the caccoon stage and turned into these gorgeus butterflys. and the catterpillars only eat the leaves and dont harm the fruit in any way. thanks sprocket719

    Hi,
My name is John Knowles and I own the building you are refering to. On the very top is the year the building was built 1889. On the lower plaque it is difficult to work out as the stonework is crumbled. You could be right in thinking this was a co-op sign as the co-op did use the left upstairs room as I think a tailoring shop many years ago. We will be doing some restoration work on the front of the building next year so when the scaffolding is up we will take a closer look at the 'sign'.

Did jarraman not spill the beans. The name's ********. Just ask him (John Walsh) if he remembers putting a dod of grease in my jacket pocket.
Also mention the time he got half cut one Christmas at work and I had to take him home and explain to his dad that he wasn't realy pissed.

There were also two sisters who cut through the park on their way to school and John had a crush on one or it could have been both and he always managed to be out there on the path as they went to school.

To answer the first question, yes I got your message about meeting up with John in Washington. Is that where he's living now?
