jarrow march
hello all in jarra

my father was born in dee street in 1914 and lived in jarrow until 1937 when he joined the raf,his parents was the last house to be demolished in dee st to make way for the tyne tunnel.

i have spent over 25 years researching my family history,my father told me a couple of times that he and his father were asked to go on the march but for their own reasons refused,i have always wondered if what my father told me about the march and the marchers was true, the one thing about my father that has always remained with me is that he was never a liar,so is there anybody in jarrow who had a relative on the march who can pass on to me any imformation about the marchers and march..
