Such is Life
#1
I've tried living many healthy life styles,
I'd exercise each day and run for miles.
Age has prevailed, I'm now eighty plus,
I even get knackered waiting for a bus.
I can't see the toes I would love to touch,
Every day I try but the effort's too much.
My midriff is sagging towards my knees,
I've been informed it's an eating disease.

My toilet is near me, it's under my bed,
It's called a gazunder I've heard it said.
Using this thing is usually hit and miss,
Happens each time I go for a gipsies kiss.
My eyes and ears sit on a bedside table,
Without these I am completely unable.
My teeth are submerged in a water glass,
Can't scratch my back, depend on our lass.

The gravity of my ever expanding spread,
Creates much havoc when I get out of bed.
If only I could have a new zimmer frame,
I must ask the wife, er, forgotten her name.
To arthritis I'm slowly becoming resigned,
The thought of a pint is always on my mind.
I'm not complaining, I've sang life's song,
I could never do right for doing it wrong.
