St Paul's Monastery

Quote:

The home of the Venerable Bede, chronicler of the beginnings of English Christianity, Jarrow has become one of the best-understood Anglo-Saxon monastic sites. The Anglo-Saxon church - with the oldest dedication stone in the country, dated AD 685 - partly survives as the chancel of the parish church.

You can take the lad out of Jarrow but you can't take Jarrow out of the lad.

Saint Pauls Monastery is truly one of our special 'Gems'. Over the years I must have taken a trillion photos of the area. And a few times I have been lucky to visit when Special Events have been held in the grounds of the park. SmileCait

I recorded some pretty good EVP's here a few weeks back, i was wondering if anyone else recorded any here??? For those who dont know what EVP's are, EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena, voices of dead people!, you dont hear them at the time, they only show up on your recording!! I did'nt expect to get anything here really, i was quite surprised!!!Smile
